Princeton's opponent in the quarterfinal of the College Basketball Invitational Presented by Zebra Pen was decided Wednesday night.

The Tigers (20-11), fresh off their 95-86 win at Evansville Tuesday night, will travel to Pittsburgh (18-16) Monday at 7 p.m. to face a Panther team that beat Wofford 81-63 to set up the round-of-eight contest.

It will be the first time in program history that Princeton will have faced two teams in the Big East at the time of the game on their home courts in the same season. The Tigers made their bi-annual trip to Rutgers earlier this season.

The game will also give Princeton the opportunity for wins over three teams currently in major conferences on their home courts for the first time since the 1966-67 season. Princeton has already defeated Florida State and Rutgers in their home gyms this season.

The Scarlet Knights are one of four common opponents for Pitt and Princeton this season, along with Wagner, Rider and Penn. Both teams beat Rider and lost to Wagner, while Princeton split with Penn and Pitt routed the Quakers 78-58 at The Palestra in November. Princeton won at Rutgers in December, while the Scarlet Knights rolled over Pitt 62-39 in Pittsburgh in January.

Additionally, the Panthers split with Georgetown, coached by Princeton alum John Thompson III '88, this season. Pitt won 72-60 in Pittsburgh while the Hoyas prevailed 64-52 in the Big East Tournament.

Pitt and Princeton have met three times, with Pitt winning twice. All three meetings came between 1952 and 1962, and all three were in Pittsburgh.
