BOX SCORE

The team that once couldn't win a five-set match has now figured out the right formula, and it did so at the perfect time. For the second straight match, the Princeton women's volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win an Ivy League road match, this time at Harvard.

The Tigers stayed in a three-way tie for first place in the Ivy League with a 25-23, 22-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-8 victory over the Crimson. Princeton is now 2-0 in the league and keeps pace with both Yale (a 3-0 winner at Cornell) and Columbia (a 3-2 home winner over Brown). Dartmouth, the Saturday opponent for Princeton, fell from the unbeaten ranks with a 3-0 home loss to Penn.

Freshman Kendall Peterkin had her coming out party in Ivy League play, leading all players with 27 kills and adding six blocks. She hit .404 on the night and had only six errors on 52 swings. Senior Lydia Rudnick was her typically brilliant self, recording 25 kills, 14 digs and five blocks.

Two other crucial offensive hitters were sophomores Sarah Hanna and Tiana Woolridge. Hanna, who had one of her best matches last season at Harvard, recorded 10 kills with only one error, while Woolridge came off the bench into the middle blocker position and recorded eight kills and three blocks.

"We played with a lot of heart tonight," said head coach Sabrina King. "Harvard has a lot of offensive weapons, and we were able to shut down enough of them to rally and win. Kendall came through huge in a tough environment, and Tiana played great as well."

Sophomore Ginny Willis continues to pace the offense, recording 69 assists and helping Princeton hit .588 in the decisive fifth set. Willis also matched teammate Sarah Daschbach with a team-best 17 digs, while junior Chelsea Parker added 10 digs off the bench.

Sophomore Nicole Kincade returned to the court and added six kills and two blocks.

The Tigers will take on Dartmouth Saturday at 5 p.m. Subscribers to GoPrincetonTigers.TV can watch that match at no charge by using their Princeton ID/password. Use these links: Live Video l Live Stats
