|Coach Billy Pate on the match:
"It was a tough day for us, but Columbia played a great match start to finish. They have a great team and will represent the Ivy League well in the NCAA tournament. The doubles point was played at a high level from both sides, but we needed to get that point today. Unfortunately, we weren't 100 percent in a couple spots but it was going to be a challenge regardless. We likely needed this match to have a chance for the NCAA tournament. Nonetheless, I'm very proud of this team and the progress we have made while setting a particular standard for this program. We faced a few unforeseen hurdles early in the year and did a great job of persevering and finding ways to have success. We put ourselves in a good position with a challenging schedule and that will help us immensely going forward. We are excited about next year as we return several starters and welcome a talented group of young players."
