The Princeton sprint football team suffered a 66-12 loss to Franklin Pierce Friday evening at Princeton Stadium.
Kadheem Cohens led the Tigers with two touchdowns and blocked a pair of Raven extra-point attempts, while starting quarterback Bob Dougherty threw for 214 yards and a touchdown.
FPU raced out to a 33-0 lead in the first quarter and the Tigers struggled to respond during their offensive drives.
In the second quarter, Cohens picked up Emanuel Castaneda’s forced rushed fumble for a 33-yard touchdown to breakup Franklin Pierce’s shutout and go into halftime down 40-6.
Princeton went on to outscore FPU 6-0 in the fourth quarter off another Cohens touchdown. A.J. Sibley forced a turnover in the redzone, setting up a three-play 96-yard drive captained by Dougherty and Cohens. Capping off the drive was a 43-yard pass down the right line into the end zone to Cohens.
Princeton (0-4) concludes the year on the road, beginning in Ithaca, N.Y. versus Cornell on Friday, Oct. 11.
