Following the first day at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Tennessee, the Princeton women's golf team finds itself tied for eighth place in a very strong 15-team field.

Alabama's Stephanie Meadow, who was the only player to finish in front of Kelly Shon at the NCAA East Regional last spring, and Baylor's Hayley Davis top the individual leaderboard at 4-under, one shot ahead of N.C. State's Augusta James.

Senior Kelly Shon paced Princeton on the first day by standing tied for seventh with a 1-under 71. Hana Ku stands just outside the top 10, entering the second round tied for 14th at even par.
