PRINCETON, N.J. (10/27/12) - The Princeton women's cross country team finished second at the 2012 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27 at West Windsor Field.

Senior Greta Feldman finished eighth as the top Tiger across the line with a time of 20:47.8. Fellow senior Abby Levene came in 12th at 20:55.5 with sophomore Jackie Nicholas on her heels taking 13th at 20:56.5. The trio earns second-team All-Ivy League accolades. Sophomore Emily de La Bruyere posted a 21:18.5 for 27th, while senior Mel Newbery was 31st at 21:34.5 to round out the top five.

Cornell won the race for the second straight year, going 1-2-3, for 31 points. The last time runners from the same team went 1-2-3 was in 2009 when Princeton went 1-2-3-4-5 in a first sweep ever in Ivy League Heps history. Princeton had 91 points for second place, while Brown and Harvard tied for third with 93 points apiece. Yale was fifth (108) followed by Columbia (116), Dartmouth (162) and Penn (204).

Princeton will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in University Park, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 9. The top two teams will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships.
