Men's Soccer and Columbia Play to Scoreless Draw

NEW YORK, N.Y. (10/13/12) - Despite a barrage from the offense in the final 65 minutes, the Princeton men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Columbia Soccer Stadium.

The Tigers outshot the Lions 17-6 including a 10-2 differential in the second half and 5-1 in extra time.

Senior Matt Sanner had seven shots, three on goal.

Once again the Princeton defense was relentless, allowing just one shot on goal. Junior goalkeeper Seth MacMillan made the save on that lone shot, that didn't come until the 104th minute.

Columbia's goalkeeper Kyle Jackson had to make seven saves, making five in the second half and three in the second overtime.

The Tigers are now 5-4-2 overall and 1-0-2 in the Ivy League, while Columbia is 3-6-3 on the seaosn and 1-1-1 in league play.

Princeton travels back to New York on Wednesday, Oct. 17 to evening for a non-conference match with Adelphi at 7 p.m.
