The Princeton women's volleyball team fell into a share for second place in the Ivy League with a 3-0 loss Friday night to Columbia at Levien Gymnasium.
After three straight 3-2 thrillers at home to open its Ivy League season, Princeton struggled in its first league match outside of Dillon Gym. Despite a team-best 15 kills from junior Lydia Rudnick, the Tigers fell 25-17, 25-15, 25-19. Princeton is now 3-1 in the Ivy League and shares second place with Columbia; the Lions' only loss came last weekend in five sets to first-place Yale (4-0).
Princeton wasn't able to produce much offense throughout the night. Senior Cathryn Quinn recorded six kills, while freshman Sarah Hanna added four. Freshman Ginny Willis recorded 24 assists, while senior libero Hillary Ford added 12 digs.
Princeton will return to league play Saturday at 5 p.m., when it takes on Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y.
