Sophomore Year (2013-14): Played in 28 games ... finished season with 15 points on six goals and nine assists ... earned her first career point in her first career game at Dartmouth on Oct. 25 ... had two points on a goal and an assist against both No. 3 Cornell and Colgate on Nov. 1 & 2 ... scored in a 3-2 win over Yale on Nov. 8 ... added an assist in a 3-1 win over UNH on Nov. 15 ... notched an assist against No. 1 Minnesota ... scored in a 4-1 win over RPI on Dec. 6 ... tallied an assist at Union on Jan. 10 and Penn State on Jan. 28 ... scored on No. 5 Harvard on Jan. 31 and had a goal and an assist the next day in a 3-2 win over Dartmouth ... recored an assist in a 3-0 shutout of Brown on Feb. 14.

Before Princeton: Played her last three years with the Toronto Jr. Aeros of the PWHL ... captain in 2011-12 ... the Aeros were finalists in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League (LLFHL) in 2009-10. ... the team won the PWHL and finished as the runner-up in the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) Provincial Championship in 2011 ... the team was the PWHL and provincial silver medalists in 2012 when McDonell scored 10 goals, five of which were game winners, and 15 assists ... finished her career with the Aeros playing in 86 games, scoring 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points ... selected to Team Ontario Red for the 2011 National Women's Under-18 Championship ... named the MVP while guiding her team to the championship ... played for the Toronto East Enders Ticats from 2002-09 ... member of the hockey, field hockey, softball, badminton and beach volleyball teams at East York Collegiate Institute.
