Junior Year (2013-14): Suffered a stress fracture in her foot and only appeared in seven games ... made first career start, finishing with a career-high seven rebounds, three assists, two points and a block vs. Marist on Nov. 17 ... had five boards, two points, an assist and a block at Rider on Nov. 19 ... netted four points, a rebound, an assist, a block and a steal in return to action versus Harvard on Jan. 31 ... had a season-high six points, going 3-for-4, with three boards and an assist versus Dartmouth on Feb. 1 ... missed the remainder of the season due to injury.

Sophomore Year (2012-13): Made 28 appearances, averaging 5.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game ... led the team with 21 blocks ... went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe and had seven points and four boards at Marist on Nov. 17 ... finished with eight points at then-No. 19 UCLA on Nov. 25 ... tallied eight points, two rebounds, two blocks and an assist vs. UMBC on Dec. 2 ... went 5-for-6 and scored a career-high 10 points at Yale on Feb. 10 ... matched a career-high with 10 points going 5-for-7 vs. Yale on Mar. 8.

Before Princeton: A two-year captain and four-year letterwinner at Richwoods ... helped Richwood to a 50-21 record by scoring 1,897 career points, averaging 14.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game ... averaged 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 1.9 assists and 1.5 blocks as a senior ... the Knights were the Class 3A State Champions in 2009 where she was named MVP of the semifinal game ... a McDonald’s All-America nominee ... named the Peoria Journal Star Player of the Year in 2010 and 2012 ... earned two first-team all-area honors from Peoria Journal ... named all-state by five organizations as a senior, four as a junior and three as a sophomore ... a three-time first-team all-Mid-State Six honors and one second-team ... named to eight all-tournament teams in her career ... played AAU with the Illinois Hustle since 2006.

Personal: Full name is Mariah Cherice Smith ... born August 21, 1993 ... parents are Solivian Furness and the late Mark Smith ... father played at Illinois in 1977-81 along with Eddie Johnson; ranks seventh all-time in scoring with 1,653 and 10th all-time in rebounds with 722; drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1981 NBA draft ... has two brothers, Mark and Dana, and one sister, Mikayla ... major is undeclared.
