PRINCETON, N.J. (5/12/13) – The Princeton men’s track & field team concluded the final weekend of the regular season hosting the IC4A Championships at Weaver Stadium.
Junior Michael Williams won his heat of the 800 on Saturday to qualify for the finals. He clocked a 1:50.24 in the prelims and finished sixth in the final at 1:52.70.
Senior Michael Palmisano qualified for the finals of the 1500 with the third-best time in the prelims at 3:48.50. Palmisano was sixth in the finals at 3:49.86.
Sophomore Connor Martin ran 9:00.81 in the steeplechase to finish in eighth place.
The 4x100 relay of freshman Dre Nelson, John Hill, sophomore Daniel McCord and junior Tom Hopkins qualified for the finals after a 41.33 in the prelims. The relay placed sixth in the finals with a time of 41.21.
Senior Austin Hollimon won his heat in the 400 hurdles and had the second-best time in the prelims at 52.05 but chose not compete in the final. Hopkins had the second-best time in the prelims of the 400 at 46.66 to win his heat but also chose not to compete in the final.
The final NCAA descending-order lists will be posted on Monday, May 13 by 3 p.m., with declarations on Tuesday & Wednesday. The accepted student-athletes for the regionals will be announced on Thursday, May 16 around 1 p.m.
