Its lid-lifter win over Temple in the books, the Princeton women's tennis team will head to Akron, Ohio, for two matches this weekend.

Saturday at 9 a.m. ET, No. 73 Princeton will face No. 52 Missouri. Sunday at 10 a.m. ET, the Tigers will take on host Akron.

The Tigers opened their season Wednesday evening with a 6-1 win over Temple in Jadwin Gym, the 16th time in 17 all-time meetings that Princeton has defeated Temple. In Missouri and Akron, the Tigers will face teams with which they have no history, as each match will be the first meeting between the schools in a dual-meet setting. Princeton did play in a Missouri-hosted individual tournament this fall.

Missouri played in the ITA Kick-Off Classic last weekend, losing a 4-3 match to current No. 30 South Carolina before defeating Princeton's Ivy rival Brown, currently ranked 67th, 4-0. Missouri will play Akron first, meeting the Zips Friday afternoon.

Missouri and Princeton each have one ranked singles player, Missouri with No. 71 Cierra Gaytan-Leach and Princeton with No. 52 Amanda Muliawan. Both schools also appear in the doubles rankings, with Missouri's Gaytan-Leach and Elisha Gabb checking in at No. 26 and Princeton carrying three ranked pairs, No. 43 Lindsay Graff and Katherine Flanigan, No. 45 Graff and Muliawan, and No. 58 Monica Chow and Katie Goepel.

In the season-opening individual tournament Missouri hosted back in September, Princeton players took four of six singles matches against Missouri players and two of three doubles matches. That included a three-set win for Gaytan-Leach over Muliawan, with both then-unranked, and a win for then-57th ranked Flanigan and Graff against then-unranked Gaytan-Leach and Gabb.

Akron will enter Friday's match with Missouri at 1-3 having lost three straight since a season-opening win over Middle Tennessee State. That included defeats against Penn State, USC and Tulane, the last two of those coming in the ITA Kick-Off Classic.

Following the Akron weekend, Princeton will head to Columbia for the ECAC Championship, for which the draws are scheduled to be announced Monday.
