2012-13 TEAM PREVIEW

After an impressive opening weekend at its own Big Al Open, the Princeton women's swimming and diving team will open its 2012-13 Ivy League season Friday afternoon against both Penn and Cornell.

Princeton also opened its 2011-12 season in Philadelphia, where it defeated Penn 155-125 and Cornell 180-99.5. Among the Tigers' individual winners were Claire Loht (200, 500 free), Carter Stephens (100 free, 200 fly) and Shirley Wang (100 back).

While much of the roster has experience against Ivy League rivals, this will be the league debut for Princeton's talented freshman class. Several members of the Class of 2016 made strong, quick impressions at the Big Al Open; freshmen Sada Stewart and Nikki Larson both won three events apiece, and Larson went on to be named the CollegeSwimming.com National Women's Swimmer of the Week.
