Following a trip to California to take on the nation's top-ranked team in Stanford, the Princeton women's tennis team will return to Jadwin Gym for a pair of matches Saturday and Sunday.

Both teams are familiar opponents historically, though the current Tigers have only faced one of them. Princeton is 7-0 all-time against St. John's, but the last meeting was in 2009. Princeton is 3-2 all-time against Denver, with wins in 2001, 2010 and 2012 and Denver wins in 2004 and 2013.

Last season, Princeton went to Denver as part of a two-match trip and won the doubles point against the Pioneers before Denver rallied to take four singles victories and clinch the match. While Princeton graduated just one player from its match against Denver last season, the Pioneers return only three of the seven players who competed against Princeton a year ago.

St. John's will enter the Princeton match on a week's layoff after opening its dual-match season with a 5-2 win over Fairfield on Jan. 24.

Denver is 1-1 entering its two-match East Coast swing that will bring the Pioneers to Columbia Friday morning. Denver competed in the ITA Season Kick-Off, losing to No. 3 North Carolina before knocking off No. 39 Virginia Commonwealth.
