Sean Wilentz
Academic-Athletic Fellow

R. Sean Wilentz, the Dayton-Stockton Professor of History, is a faculty fellow for the Princeton baseball team. He has taught at Princeton since 1979 and is also the director of the Princeton Program in American Studies.

A native of New York City, he was educated at Columbia University and Oxford University and received his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1980. He was in Yankee Stadium in 1961 to see Roger Maris hit his 61st home run.
