Coming off the best performance of his career, Princeton baseball senior Michael Fagan earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors. The lefty collects his first career Ivy weekly award and shares the honor with Dartmouth’s Duncan Robinson.
Fagan posted a stellar performance at Navy on Mar. 22, going the distance in a 1-0 victory for the Tigers. He also recorded personal firsts, pitching a one-hit complete game shutout in the winning effort.
After the Midshipmen earned a hit in the first, it was all Fagan over the seven-inning outing. He went on to strike out eight batters and only conceded two walks in 27 batters faced.
Fagan (2-1) leads the Tigers with a 2.45 ERA over four appearances and 22.0 innings. He’s tossed 27 strikeouts and given up only six earned runs.
After spending its first 16 games on the road, Princeton (5-11) returns home to kick off its home and Ivy slate with Harvard (Mar. 29) and Dartmouth (Mar. 30) at Clarke Field.
