Despite 12 kills, seven digs and three service aces from sophomore Kendall Peterkin, the Princeton women's volleyball team dropped its home debut 3-0 Tuesday night to Seton Hall.

The Tigers fell to 3-4 on the season with the 25-15, 25-16, 25-20 loss to the Pirates, who used a severe advantage at the net to grab their third win of the season. Seton Hall had a 13-0 advantage in blocks and limited Princeton to a .050 hitting percentage.

Seton Hall got out especially quick in the opening set, going on a 12-2 run to gain a 15-4 advantage. They had a similar strong run early in the second, but Princeton showed resilience in the third and got within three points at 19-16, but the Pirates put the match away from there.

Freshman Cara Mattaliano, in her Dillon debut, recorded 11 kills and 10 digs for Princeton, while sophomore Sarah Daschbach added 19 digs for the Tigers. Junior Tiana Woolridge had seven kills and hit a team-best .357, while Stephanie Marani chiopped in with four kills.

Princeton will head to Rhode Island this weekend for the Bryant Tournament, and then will return to Dillon Gym next Friday night to make its Ivy League debut against Penn.
