BOX SCORE

The Princeton women's volleyball did what it needed to do this weekend, sweeping the Dartmouth-Harvard matches to stay within two matches of first-place Yale. The Tigers held off Harvard in three tight sets Saturday to claim a 3-0 home victory.

The wins move Princeton to 8-2 on the Ivy League season, while Yale moved to 10-0 with a 3-1 home victory over Cornell. The Bulldogs will be making the trip south next weekend, starting at Penn Friday night. Should both Penn and Princeton earn wins Friday, the Tigers would play Yale for a share of first place Saturday, Nov. 3, at 5 pm.

Sophomore Ginny Willis recorded a double-double to lead Princeton to the 25-20, 29-27, 25-22 victory over Harvard. The Ivy League leader in assists had 42 to pace the offense, and she added a team-best 10 digs.

Her top two weapons both had double-digit kills. Senior Lydia Rudnick had 17 kills and four digs, while freshman Kendall Peterkin had 12 kills, three digs and three blocks. Both hit over .400 for Princeton, which posted a .342 attack percentage in the victory.

Junior Chelsea Parker added nine kills, while sophomore Tiana Woolridge had eight for the Tigers, who will open their final home weekend of the season Friday night at 7 against Brown.
