PRINCETON, N.J. (10/8/12) - The lights will shine on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium on Tuesday night as the Princeton men's soccer team hosts 2011 College Cup squad No. 24 Creighton live on ESPNU at 7:05 p.m.

This is the first meeting between the two squads, and Princeton's first game against a team from the Missouri Valley Conference.

Princeton is riding a five-game unbeaten streak, after winning four games and tying No. 19 Brown 1-1 last Saturday. The Tigers are 5-3-1 overall, with two of their three losses to teams ranked in the top-15. Creighton is the fourth ranked team that Princeton will face this season. It has been a tale of two seasons for Princeton. The Tigers scored just two goals and allowed seven in the first four games of the season. In the last four games, Princeton has scored eight goals and held teams to just three. At the top of the scoring column are the Sanner brothers. Freshman Thomas leads the team offensively with 11 points on three goals and five assists. Senior Matt has two goals and two assists for six points. Sophomore Cameron Porter also has six points on two goals and two assists. Both of Porter’s goals have come in the last two games, as he scored the game winner in OT versus Dartmouth and the game-tying goal versus Brown. Sophomore Julian Griggs who is out with an injury has two goals. Dylan Bowman, Myles McGinley, Mark Linnville and Patrick O’Neil have two points apiece. Junior Seth MacMillan has started in goal in the last six games and has a 4-1-1 record. He has made 18 saves on 22 shots for a 0.64 goals against average and an .818 save percentage.

Creighton is ranked No. 24 in the latest NSCAA poll and is 7-3-2 overall. The team is unbeaten in its last three games, including a double overtime victory over SIU Edwardsville this past Saturday. Creighton’s losses came to No. 14 Old Dominion 2-1 and unranked St. Louis 3-1 and Tulsa 2-0. The Blue Jays have earned ties against No. 7 Akron and Drake. Creighton averages 1.25 goals per game and are holding teams to 0.83 goals per game. It also averages five more shots per game than its opponents. Like Princeton a rookie is leading the team offensively. Freshman Timo Pitter has eight points on three goals and two assists. Senior Jose Gomez adds two goals and three assists for seven points, while junior Sean Kim contributed three goals. Freshman Christian Blandon and sophomore Jose Ribas put up five points apiece. Six others have one point or more. The Blue Jays utilize a two-goalie system. Freshman Jeff Gal has a 4-0 record that includes two shutouts. He has made 12 saves on 14 shots for a 0.50 GAA and an .857 save percentage. Sophomore Alex Bolowich has a 3-3-2 mark with four shutouts. He has made 33 saves on 41 shots for a 0.93 GAA and an .805 save percentage. Bolowich has earned the start in three of the last four games.
