PRINCETON, N.J. (9/22/12) - The 2012 Princeton Soccer Invitational continues on Sunday, Sept. 23 as Penn takes on Rider at noon followed by Princeton hosting Fairleigh Dickinson at 2:30 p.m., on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.

Princeton holds a 14-6-1 lead in the all-time series with FDU. The Knights took a 2-1 overtime game last year, during Princeton's home opener, halting a four-game win streak in the series for the Tigers.

The Tigers are 3-3 and are on a two-game winning streak after defeating Rider 3-1 on Friday. Freshman Thomas Sanner had two assists on Friday night to bring his point total to six, on one goal and four helpers. Sophomore Julian Griggs scored the game winner, and his second goal of the season. Senior Matt Sanner and junior Dylan Bowman have both scored a goal each. Junior Seth MacMillan has started in goal during the last three games and has made 10 saves on 12 shots for a 0.67 goals against average and an .833 save percentage.

FDU fell to Penn in the first game of the Invitational, 3-2, scoring two late goals. The Knights are 3-3-1 overall. After losing a 5-0 game to Stony Brook to start the season the Knights went on a four-game unbeaten streak. The team has lost its last two games, both by one goal. Nico Wright is the team's leading scorer with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Captain Jack McVey has eight points off of three goals and two assists. Simon Doherty and Jan Aubert both have two goals. Alfredo Malaret and Jacob Lissek split playing time on Friday night. Lissek has started five games and has made 23 saves on 35 shots for a 2.10 GAA and a .657 save percentage. Malaret has two starts and has seven saves on nine shots.
