PRINCETON, N.J. (11/16/11) - Four members of the Princeton men's soccer team have been named All-Ivy League, with three earning first-team honors, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Senior Antoine Hoppenot and juniors Mark Linnville and Matt Sanner were named first-team All-Ivy and freshman Julian Griggs earned honorable mention accolades. This is the third straight year that Princeton has had three or more players on the first team.

Hoppenot, the 2010 Ivy League Player of the Year, makes his third appearance on the first-team All-Ivy List. He was a second-team selection as a freshman. Hoppenot finished the season with 14 points on four goals and six assists. His six assists ranked fourth in the Ivy League.

Sanner has moved up the All-Ivy League teams every season. An honorable mention pick in 2009, he was a second-team pick last year. Sanner led the team in scoring with seven goals, to tie Hoppenot with 14 points. He was fourth in the Ivy League in goals scored. Highlighting Sanner's statistics is that he scored four of Princeton's five game-winning goals.

Linnville has been a first-team selection every season since he donned the Orange & Black. He finished fourth on the team in points with seven, scoring one goal and was second on the team in assists with five. The center back, Linnville, also helped to get things started offensively with his powerful throw-in.

Griggs earned a starting spot in the second half of the season. In 11 games, Griggs scored three goals. He was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice 24 after scoring twice in a 3-2 win at Harvard. Griggs added another in a one-goal loss at Penn.
