Emily Viggers was 2 for 3 and drove in Princeton's only run on a double in the seventh inning.

SIUE's Rachel Coonrod took advantage of two walks to start the bottom of the fourth inning by singling home what turned out to be the game-winning run, putting the Cougars up 2-0 at the time.

• This was the first meeting between Princeton and SIUE.

• Emily Viggers' 2-hit game was her first since March 17, 2013 against Coppin State and it came in just her second appearance of the season.

• Princeton will head to Maryland's tournament next, facing the host Terrapins, Mount St. Mary's and Hartford over the two-day event Friday and Saturday. It will be Princeton's eighth appearance in a Maryland-hosted tournament, dating back to 1996.
