The Princeton men's volleyball hasn't been able to find a winning consistency this season, but it has the ultimate opportunity to do so over the next two weeks. Starting Tuesday night, the Tigers will play six EIVA matches inside the friendly confines of Dillon Gym over a 12-day span.

Princeton (2-6, 1-1 EIVA), coming off a 1-1 weekend at the 2014 Hall of Fame Classic, will look to make its move towards the top of the EIVA standings starting Tuesday night against Rutgers-Newark (4-5, 0-3). The Scarlet Raiders are winless in league play, but they have also played each of their three matches on the road.

The Tigers are coming off a Friday night win over UC Santa Cruz last weekend; more importantly, though, they are coming off one of the best weekend performances in the career of Cody Kessel. The 2013 first-team All-EIVA had 26 kills in three sets Friday against Concordia and hit .525 over the weekend. He averaged 6.7 kills per set and trails only Penn State's Aaron Russell for the league lead in kills per set.

Kessel's performance earned him the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week honor. It was Princeton's first individual league honor this season.

While Kessel is a familiar name around the league, freshman Junior Oboh will play his first home league match Tuesday night. The middle averaged 1.2 blocks per set over the weekend, and he currently ranks third in the EIVA in blocks (1.1).

The Rutgers match opens a homestand that will include matchups with both No. 12 Penn State (Feb. 28) and reigning EIVA finalist Harvard (March 8).
