For the third straight year, Princeton's Kelly Shon has been selected to participate in an NCAA Regional golf championship.
This year, she will head to the East Regional hosted by Auburn, May 9-11. Shon will be one of six individuals at the tournament along with 24 teams. The top eight teams, as well as the top two players on the leaderboard not on those eight teams, will qualify for the NCAA Championship to be hosted by Georgia May 21-24.
Shon tied for 52nd as a freshman in the 2011 East Regional and 29th as a sophomore in the 2012 East Regional in the fields of 126 players. It is the ninth time since 1995 that Princeton has had an individual at the NCAA Regional, and Mary Moan '97, after placing fifth at her regional as a senior in 1997, remains the only Tiger to advance to the NCAA Championship.
