Nicki Cutler, who has coached the Princeton women's golf program for the last four seasons, has chosen to step down from her position in order to pursue other career opportunities.

"I would like to thank Princeton University for giving me the opportunity to be a head coach," Cutler said. "It has been a privilege and an honor to work with such an outstanding group of young women. I am proud of what we have accomplished and I will leave with many great memories of being a Tiger."

Cutler led the team to top-three finishes in the Ivy League in each of her four seasons including runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2014. She had eight All-Ivy League honorees over during her tenure, including four first-teamers.

During her four years, Cutler coached Kelly Shon '14, who finished as perhaps the most accomplished golfer in program history. Shon won two Ivy League Player of the Year honors, was a three-time first-team All-Ivy League honoree and was the third Princeton player and seventh overall to be a four-time all-league finisher. Shon participated in three NCAA East Regionals, becoming the second player in both Princeton and Ivy League history to play in the NCAA Championship when she advanced to the final tournament in 2013.

"We'd like to thank Nicki for her service to Princeton and to the golf program," Ford Family Director of Athletics Gary Walters said. "We'd also like to wish her the best as she transitions to the next chapter of her life."

Cutler previously served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Vanderbilt, after playing on the LPGA and Futures tours.

Cutler's resignation will be effective at the end of June, and a national search for her successor will begin immediately.
