In heading to Tennessee this weekend for the Vanderbilt-hosted Mason Rudolph Invitational, the Princeton women's golf team will face as strong a field as they'd find until the NCAA finals.

Princeton and the rest of the field will play a round each day Friday through Sunday on the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course, which is a par 72 and will measure 6,337 yards for the tournament. Results from the event will be posted here via BirdieFire.

Among the 15 teams in the field are 11 that are ranked in the Golf World/WGCA preseason top 25, including five in the top 10 and four of the top five, led by No. 2 Alabama. Three others among the 15 teams received votes in the poll.

Joining the Tide, the Tigers and host Vanderbilt are Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Texas, UCLA, Virginia and Wake Forest.

The tournament is a homecoming for Princeton coach Nicki Cutler, a Vanderbilt alumna who was a runner-up in the inaugural Rudolph tournament in 2001 as her Commodores took second to Ohio State.

The Rudolph tournament will be Princeton's second tournament of the year after opening the season last weekend with the Princeton Invitational, where the Tigers took runner-up. Princeton placed two players in the top five in its home tournament, including senior Kelly Shon in third place and freshman Jordan Lippetz tying for fourth. It will also be the program's first visit to Tennessee since winning the 2004 Austin Peay Intercollegiate in Clarksville, Tenn.
