For the third straight week a Princeton women’s water polo player has collected CWPA Southern Division weekly honors, as senior Katie Rigler takes home Player of the Week for the first time this year and seventh of her career.
The three-time All-America is coming off an eight-goal and seven-steal weekend at the MAAC/CWPA Crossover.
Rigler opened the tournament with consecutive hat tricks versus Siena and Wagner on Feb. 22, both matching team highs. Against the Saints she recorded a team and career-high five steals and closed the day out making her sixth versus the Seahawks.
The utility concluded the weekend with a pair of goals and a steal versus Iona the next day to bring her season totals to 20 goals, 11 steals and six assists.
Rigler and the undefeated Tigers (10-0) will close out the home half of the 2014 schedule with Harvard this Sunday, Mar. 2 live on ESPNU at 11 a.m.
