Last Time Out: The Tigers (23-5, 5-0 Southern) outscored their three opponents 41-10 en route to their second consecutive Southern championship. Princeton opened the weekend with a 13-4 win over Bucknell and 16-2 victory versus George Washington to advance to the title match. The Tigers met Brown in the finals for the second time in as many seasons, this time displacing the Bears 12-4 to go undefeated, 8-0, in divisional play.

No. 2 Seed: As the winner of the Southern Division, Princeton earned the No. 2 seed at the Eastern Championship. Indiana earned the No. 1 seed as the winner of the Western Division tournament and because the Hoosiers defeated the Tigers earlier this year.

As one of the top seeds, Princeton will have a first round bye. In the second round, the Tigers will open with the winner of the No. 7 George Washington – No. 10 Gannon matchup.

Live From Ann Arbor: Fans will be able to view all games from the Eastern Championship via live video streaming from the CWPA. To stream all games over the weekend, fans can purchase a weekend package for $25 or pay $10 per game.

Top Ranked Team in the East: Princeton remains the top-ranked team in the East Coast at No. 11 in the nation with 43 points. This weekend the Tigers may face one of the other three East Coast top-20 programs in No. 15 Indiana, No. 17 Hartwick and/or No. 18 Michigan.

A Look at the Year: Princeton has been ranked between No. 10-12 all year, seeing all five of its losses to ranked opponents. The Tigers put together a nine-game winning streak mid-season, while defeating a pair of ranked foes.

As she has done throughout her career, junior Katie Rigler powers the offense with a team-best 56 goals, owning a .509 shooting percentage. Princeton’s defense added a new dimension with the addition of freshman goalie Ashleigh Johnson. In 28 starts, she’s tallied 295 saves, 33 steals, 19 assists, a .674 saves percentage and has allowed 143 goals against.

My Captain, Oh My Captain: The senior trio of Rachele Gyorffy, Saranna Soroka and Brittany Zwirner will serve as tri-captains in 2013 for the Tigers.
