The 12th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team (6-2)
kicks off CWPA Southern Division play this weekend with Brown on Friday, Feb.
22 at 8 p.m., before heading to the Villanova-hosted CWPA/MAAC Crossover from
Feb. 23-24.

Last Time Out: The
Tigers went 3-1 at the Bucknell Invite from Feb. 16-17, defeating Wagner, 16-8,
Marist, 13-6, and Hartwick, 7-6. Princeton struggled to find offensive
firepower versus then-No. 12 Indiana, as the squad only connected twice on 24
attempts to fall 4-2 to the Hoosiers.
On Deck: Princeton
remains on the road, traveling the Washington, D.C. to square off with
conference foe George Washington on Friday, Mar. 8 at 7 p.m.
Johnson Tabbed
Defensive Player of the Week: Freshman Ashleigh Johnson earned her second
consecutive CWPA Defensive Player of the Week accolade following her 43-save,
six-steal and 3-1 weekend at the Bucknell Invite. She tallied a weekend-high 16 saves versus then-No. 12 Indiana in Princeton's
lone loss, 4-2, and limited all opponents to six goals or less.
Road Warriors: This
weekend's CWPA/MAAC Crossover opens a 13-game road swing for the Tigers.
Princeton will play in two tournaments in Southern California during that span.
Scouting Brown: Brown
enters this weekend riding a four-game losing streak and is 2-6. The Bears are
coming off losses to Marist, 6-5, Bucknell, 10-9, Hartwick, 18-7, and Wagner,
13-5. All teams the Tigers have defeated already.
Scouting Siena: Siena
officially opens its 2013 campaign with the Tigers at the CWPA/MAAC Crossover.
Last year the Saints went 9-21, 4-8 MAAC. Siena's top offensive returner
Rebecca Robinson scored40 goals a year ago and goalie Madeline Hurley tallied
202 saves and an 11.52 goals against average.
Scouting Iona: The
Gaels of Iona enter this weekend at 2-1. The squad has played seven games this
year, but four were exhibitions contests. Iona's wins came over Villanova,
12-2, and St. Francis, 23-12, while its lone loss came at the hands of Harvard,
15-13.
Scouting Wagner: Princeton
and Wagner will face each other for the second time in as many weeks. In the
last meeting, the Tigers handed the Seahawks a 16-8 loss on Feb. 16 at the
Bucknell Invite. Wagner enters this weekend at 5-3 and is coming off a 13-5 win
over Brown.
Scouting Villanova: CWPA/MAAC
Crossover host Villanova currently is riding a 10-game losing skid. The Tigers
and Wildcats have faced already once this season, with Princeton topping
Villanova 15-3 at the Princeton Invite on Feb. 9.
