For the second time in as many weeks, Princeton women's water polo freshman Ashleigh Johnson was named CWPA Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week.

In four starts, Johnson amassed 43 saves and six steals over 15 quarters of work at the Bucknell Invitational last weekend. She guided the Tigers to a 3-1 record, tallying a weekend-high 16 saves versus then-No. 12 Indiana in Princeton's lone loss, 4-2. She limited all opponents to six goals or less.

Over the first two weeks of the year, Johnson holds a 6-2 record and has made 99 saves. She sports a .712 saves percentage and allowed only 40 goals against.

The newcomer has already been named Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week and now Defensive Player of the Week twice over her young career.

Johnson and the Tigers (6-2) host Brown on Friday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m., before traveling to the CWPA/MAAC Crossover at Villanova to play four games from Feb. 23-24.
