For the first time in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) league history, Princeton's Ashleigh Johnson swept the weekly divisional awards. The women's water polo freshman was named Southern Division Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week following her first collegiate weekend. She is the first player, male or female, since the creation of the Defensive Player of the Week award in 2010 to accomplish such a feat.

Johnson made her mark in her Princeton debut, tallying a single-game saves record versus No. 4 California with 19 stops in the cage. The Tigers remained paced with the top-five Bears until the fourth quarter, but ultimately were edged 7-5 on Feb. 8

After the loss to Cal, the next day Johnson helped guide the Tigers to three victories. Behind a seven-save effort over two quarters, Princeton defeated Villanova 15-3. She followed that up with a 12-save performance in the Tigers' 20-6 win versus George Washington. Johnson wrapped up the day nearly tying her newly minted single-game saves record with 18 versus Harvard in Princeton's 11-7 victory.

Johnson (3-1) concluded her first weekend suiting up for the Tigers with 56 saves, four steals and four assists over 13 quarters of work.

Princeton hits the road next to play four games at the Bucknell Invitational from Feb. 16-17.
