Box Score & Play-by-Play: Game 1 | Game 2

Sophomore Kate Miller's first career home run came in the fourth inning and put Princeton ahead 4-0 in the first game, giving freshman Claire Klausner more than she needed to secure the win. Klausner allowed only two hits, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning to pick up her first career win.

Princeton trailed in Tuesday's second game, but only briefly. Rider got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with an Allysen Breeden home run but Maddie Cousens needed only one pitch to tie it up. Cousens' home run to left field was her second round-tripper in as many days for the Tigers and it started a rally that gave Princeton the lead. The Tigers had runners on second and third after a Cara Worden single and a Haley Hineman double, and a wild pitch brought home the go-ahead run. Klausner hit her first career home run in the top of the seventh to make it 3-1, and Meredith Brown closed out her first win of the season.

Claire Klausner picked up her first win of the season with a two-hit shutout in Tuesday's first game. She didn't walk a batter and struck out three. For good measure, she hit her first career home run in the second game, extending Princeton's lead to 3-1.

Kate Miller's home run broke it open in the fourth inning of the first game as the sophomore drove a three-run shot to straightaway center.

In game two, Maddie Cousens' home run sparked the Tiger offense when she hammered the first pitch she saw over the fence in left field as Princeton scored all three of its runs between the sixth and seventh innings.

• The Tigers and Broncs, the only two Division I teams in Mercer County, met for the first time since 2007. Princeton has now won eight straight against the Broncs.

• Princeton had two players hit their first career home runs Tuesday with sophomore Kate Miller in game one and freshman Claire Klausner in game two. Both Klausner and junior Meredith Brown picked up their first pitching wins of the season, giving all four Princeton pitchers a win this season.

Princeton will travel to Yale and Brown for Ivy League twinbills at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
