Match notes: This was Princeton's second all-time meeting against Mississippi State, with the other coming in a 4-0 win for the Bulldogs in 2012 at the ITA Kick-Off Classic at Texas A&M ... Princeton has now taken on top-40 opponents in four of its last five matches ... the last time Princeton faced two SEC teams in the same dual-match season was in 1999, when Princeton faced Alabama and Tennessee; the Tigers faced Alabama Saturday ... Zack McCourt picked up his second win over an ITA-ranked opponent during the dual-match season, having also defeated 67th-ranked Hunter Harrington of Clemson this weekend ... Tom Colautti improved to 2-0 this dual-match season against ITA-ranked opponents.
Order of finish: Doubles: 3,2,1; Singles: 2,4,1,3,5

Coach Billy Pate on the match:
"I'm very proud of our effort and fight this weekend. For us to have chances against great opponents with two practices outdoors beforehand was encouraging. Today was another match where we had our chances. We lost a close doubles point and had to rally from behind the whole match. Mississippi State is another top-20 team and our guys are realizing the need to capitalize on opportunities against these experienced teams. However, this tournament, and the three matches we played, were tremendous learning opportunities for us. We are already an improved team and these tough matches will undoubtedly help us the rest of the spring."
