Princeton men’s water polo freshman Jovan Jeremic was named CWPA Southern Division Rookie of the Year, marking the second time in program history a Tiger has earned the honor. Jeremic was also named to the All-Southern Second Team and junior Drew Hoffenberg was tabbed to the first team for the second consecutive season.
Jeremic is tied with Hoffenberg for Princeton’s top goal scorer with 58 goals in 24 appearances. The freshman has made four starts, adding 15 steals, four assists, two blocks and drawn nine ejections.
Along with leading the offense for the third straight season, co-captain Hoffenberg has 33 steals, four blocks, 42 ejections drawn and a team-best 31 assists. The divisional accolade is the third of the attacker’s career, as he was named to the second team as a freshman in 2011.
Jeremic, Hoffenberg and the Tigers are currently underway at the CWPA Championships battling for a berth into the NCAA tournament.
