Coming off its regular season Southern Division-East title, the Princeton men’s water polo team has earned the No. 1 seed at this weekend’s Southern Division Championship at Navy from Nov. 8-10 in Annapolis, Md.

The Tigers enter the tournament with a 17-4 overall, 7-1 Southern record. Seeding was based on the accumulated votes of the division’s 12 head coaches, with the Tigers receiving 11 first-place votes.

As the top seed, Princeton earned a first round bye and will open Southerns on Saturday at 9 a.m. versus the winner of the Gannon – Notre Dame College matchup.

The semifinals will be played later that evening at 7:40 p.m. and 9 p.m., followed by the championship game Sunday at 3:40 p.m.

Princeton has won seven Southern titles, last capturing the divisional crown in 2011.
