Hoffenberg and Wenzlau Earn CWPA All-Southern Honors
Princeton men's water polo sophomore Drew Hoffenberg and senior Tim Wenzlau were named to the CWPA All-Southern Team, it was announced Friday by the league office. Hoffenberg picked up first team honors and Wenzlau earned second team accolades.
Attacker Hoffenberg is riding another standout campaign, leading Princeton in both goals with 61 and steals with 62. The 2011 Eastern Championship MVP also has dished 32 assists, made two blocks and drew 55 ejections. The first team selection is the first of his career.
First-time honoree Wenzlau has been a consistent performer all season for the Tigers. In 25 games played, the attacker has tallied 30 goals, 28 steals, 22 assists, six blocks, drew 18 ejections and won nine sprints.
Hoffenberg, Wenzlau and the No. 20 Tigers (15-11, 5-3 Southern) are set to open the CWPA Eastern Championship today, Friday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. versus No. 14 Brown at DeNunzio Pool.
