Princeton head men's water polo coach Luis Nicolao announced the addition of three student-athletes to join the three-time Eastern Champion Tiger program in 2012. Princeton welcomes Alexander "Alex" Gow, James "Jamie" Kuprenas and Bradley Wachtell as the Tiger Class of 2016.

"We are really excited for next years men's team. We do not have a lot of holes to fill, but the incoming class will compete for time immediately. They won't be asked to start right away if they don't have to, as they will be able to learn from the veterans ahead of them," said Nicolao.

Alexander "Alex" Gow • Goalie •  6-0
Portola Valley, Calif./Menlo-Atherton High School

Alex Gow was a three-year starter in the cage for Menlo-Atherton, earning All-PAL and All-CCS honors each year. Gow was also a two-time all-league selection in swimming for the Bears.

Gow played for the Stanford Water Polo Club for three years, earning All-American First Team honors at the Junior Olympics. He helped guide the club to a first place finish at the 18U Junior Olympics and a second place finish at the 16U Junior Olympics. Gow is a member of the US Youth National Travel Team, competing in Sicily in the 2011 with the squad.

"Alex adds depth to the goalie position for us. We will have three quality goalies next season and Alex will be able to learn from the veterans ahead of him who did a solid job last year," said Nicolao.

James "Jamie" Kuprenas • Utility • 6-1
Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola High School

Jamie Kuprenas was a four-year starter at Loyola High School, helping guide the Cubs to three CIF-SS Division I semifinal appearances. The squad won the Mission League Championship four consecutive times and went undefeated in league play in 2008. In 2011, Kuprenas was named the Mission League MVP, and earned All-CIF-SS First Team, All-Southern California Second Team and California-Hawaii Third Team All-American honors. As a junior he was named an All-Mission League First Team and All-CIF-SS Second Team selection, and earned California-Hawaii All American accolades.

Kuprenas played for the Los Angeles Water Polo Club for eight years. During that span he was named a Junior Olympic All American four times and earned USA Water Polo Academic All American honors in 2010. The squad won bronze medals at the Junior Olympic 18U and 16U levels. In addition to the team winning gold medals at the 16U US Club Championship and Cal Cup State Championship, Kuprenas was named to the first team at both tournaments. In 2010, he was named the Ironman Water Polo League's "Best Defender". Kuprenas was a member of the USA Youth National Team from 2008-11. The team won the silver medal at the 2011 19U Junior Pan American UANA Games.

"James is one of the top players coming out of high school this year. We are excited to add him to the lineup and look forward to him giving us quality minutes from day one when he walks onto campus as a freshman," said Nicolao.

Bradley Wachtell • Utility • 6-0
Beverly Hills, Calif./Harvard-Westlake School

Bradley Wachtell was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Harvard-Westlake School. In 2011, Wachtell earned All-Mission League First Team, All-CIF SS and HWS team co-MPV honors. He earned the Wolverines' Coaches Award in 2010. Wachtell also competed on the swimming team from 2009-10, earning Most Improved honors in 2009 and Most Inspirational accolades in 2010.

He played for the Los Angeles Water Polo Club for seven years. In 2010, the squad was the 16U California State Champions, 16U US Club Champions, finished in second place in the Ironman League and earned a third place finish at the 16U Junior Olympics.

"Bradley is a utility player who will get a chance to play a lot. I am looking forward to seeing how he develops through the year and over his career," said Nicolao.
