Princeton men’s water polo rising seniors Drew Hoffenberg and Kayj Shannon have been named co-captains of the 2014 season.
“I am very happy for Drew and Kayj to be selected as co-captains,” said head coach Luis Nicolao. “They both are great leaders and we are looking forward to a successful 2014 season.”
Hoffenberg will serve as a two-time team captain, taking on the role with Kurt Buchbinder ’14 this past season. A three-time All-America, Hoffenberg led the offense for the third consecutive season with 66 goals and 32 assists, while adding 40 steals and five blocks in 2013. Hoffenberg was also a Southern Division First Teamer and CWPA Championship All-Tournament Team selection.
Shannon scored 43 goals, made 15 steals, six blocks and recorded 38 ejections drawn in 26 appearances last year. He concluded the season earning his third ACWPC All-Academic Team Excellent honors.
