The Princeton men's and women's squash teams will make the short trip to Philadelphia to compete in the 2014 CSA Individual Championships this weekend. The competition opens Friday morning, and both teams have players seeking All-America honors this weekend.

The Princeton women have seven players in the Ramsay Draw (the A flight), including freshman Maria Elena Ubina, who will be seeking to cap her freshman season with a First-Team All-America honor. The Tiger No. 1 will open play Friday at 11 am against George Washington's Breanne Flynn; she could meet Penn No. 1 Anaka Alankamony — another Ivy freshman — in a quarterfinal Saturday morning. Alankamony topped Ubina in a tight four-game match during the regular season.

While Ubina seeks her first All-America honor, senior co-captain Libby Eyre will be looking to end her career with a fourth honor, including a third spot on the First Team. Eyre, who has reached the quarterfinals each of the last two years, opens against Yale No. 5 Jenny Scherl, and could face Harvard No. 2 Haley Mendez in the second round. Eyre was injured during the regular season match between the two teams.

Other Princeton players involved in the Ramsay Division are Nicole Bunyan, Rachel Leizman, Alex Lunt, Hallie Dewey and Alex Sawin. Of the five, nobody has a tougher opener than Sawin, who faces two-time national champion Amanda Sobhy of Harvard Friday morning at 10:20.

On the men's side, juniors Samuel Kang and Tyler Osborne join senior Dylan Ward in the Pool Division (A flight). Kang opens with Mauricio Sedano of Franklin & Marshall, and could see Harvard No. 2 Brandon McLaughlin in the second round. Kang and McLaughlin split a pair of matches last season, with Kang winning an epic five-game thriller in the regular season to help Princeton to the 2013 Ivy League title.

Osborne, who upset the sixth seed to reach the individual quarterfinals last year, will be looking to take a similar path this season. He opens with Ahmed Hatata of Bates, and he could face sixth-ranked Neil Cordell, Rochester's No. 1 player, in the second round.

Ward will take on Trinity's Vrishab Kotian in his first-round match; the Princeton senior tri-captain defeated Kotian 3-1 during the regular season. A victory would likely send Ward against 2012 champion and top-seeded Ali Farag of Harvard.

On Saturday night, former Princeton men's head coach Bob Callahan will be inducted into the CSA College Squash Hall of Fame.
