Next match: vs. Alabama (Blue Gray consolation semis), Saturday, 10 a.m. ET Live Scoring
Match notes: Princeton is now 3-8 all-time against Clemson, with the most recent meeting having gone to Princeton in Clemson in 2008 ... the Tigers have played Alabama only twice, both Alabama wins in 1999 and 2007 ... Saturday's match will be the first time since taking over at Princeton that head coach Billy Pate will go against the program he coached for 10 seasons at Alabama.
Order of finish: Doubles: 1,3,2; Singles: 4,5,2,6,1,3

Coach Billy Pate on the match:
"I couldn't be more proud of our guys. Our effort was incredible, particularly considering we only had two outdoor practices going into this match. Clemson is a top-25 team and we showed that with a collective team effort like tonight, we can play with anyone. This match went back and forth and could not have been closer. We just need to embrace the positives and get ready for Alabama at 9 a.m. [CT] tomorrow."
