Princeton women's swimming head coach Susan Teeter met a talented 15-year-old standout years ago, and she grew to be as impressed with his humility as she was with his swimming. And that says a lot, considering his swimming earned Ian Crocker multiple Olympic gold medals.

On Thursday, the two were reunited at Denunzio Pool, as Crocker assisted the Tiger coaching staff during the final day of the 2013 Princeton Swimming Summer Camp. Crocker spoke to the team in the morning, worked with campers on technique and then shared more about his Olympic journey later in the day.

Crocker won gold medals in the 400 medley relay in both the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. He set the world record in winning the 100 fly at the 2003 World Championships, and he made his Olympic debut in 2000, when Teeter was a member of the Team USA coaching staff.

"I was so excited to have the chance to introduce Ian Crocker to our campers," Teeter said. "I have always admired Ian as much for his humility and character as his swimming career. His career includes world records and Olympic golds, but he has always remained a good, down-to-earth person. He's a great role model for any young swimmer."
