If the probables hold, freshman Judd Ziegler will always remember his Ivy League debut. When he steps on the mat Saturday at the Friedman Wrestling Center for the opening match of the Ivy season, he will take on three-time NCAA champion Kyle Dake.

If nothing else, it won't get any tougher for Ziegler in his next 23 Ivy League matches.

Cornell has won 10 straight Ivy League titles, and has beaten Princeton every year since the Tigers' last Ivy championship season (1986). While the Big Red could start four wrestlers ranked in the Top 10, Princeton could start five freshmen.

The odds are stacked against the younger Tigers, but they also know it is a huge opportunity to make an early statement in the Ivy League season.

For the five freshmen, including wins leader Scott Gibbons (184), it is a first opportunity to test themselves against the dominant power in Ivy League wrestling over the last decade. As for the Princeton veterans, including senior Zach Bintliff, it is an opportunity for a first victory over Cornell and a chance to start the march towards EIWAs on a positive note.

Saturday's match will start at 1 pm, and can be seen live via the Cornell web site (subscription required). There will be free live audio available; links for both can be found on the top of the story.
