Volleyball Falls In Three At Penn, Will Host New York Pair Next Weekend

Despite an impressive 13 kills and .429 hitting percentage from junior middle Nicole Kincade, the Princeton women's volleyball team dropped its first match of the second half of the Ivy League season 3-0 at the Palestra Friday night.

Penn improved to 10-9 overall, 4-4 in the Ivy League, with the 25-19, 25-22, 25-20 win. Princeton fell to 6-12, 2-6 in league play.

Kincade led all Princeton players with 13 kills, while fellow middle Tiana Woolridge added nine kills and hit .444 in the match. Freshman Cara Mattaliano had seven kills and a team-best 14 digs, while sophomore Kendall Peterkin added seven kills and seven digs.

Freshman setter Lauren Miller had 35 assists and 11 digs for the Tigers, who will try to end a five-match losing streak next weekend when they host both Columbia and Cornell during a home Ivy League weekend. Princeton will play four of its final six Ivy League matches at home.
