Junior Tony Ensbury, who has been the starting libero for two straight EIVA semifinalist Princeton men's volleyball teams, spent part of his summer helping lead Team USA to an 11th-place finish at the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's Under-21 World Championships, held this year in Ankara and Izmir, Turkey, August 22 through Sept. 1.

Ensbury, a member of Team USA for the second straight summer, averaged 1.8 digs per set for Team USA, which earned four wins during the tournament.

"I was proud to represent the USA and thrilled to play at the international level," Ensbury said. "Some of the opposing players in this tournament are professionals and play for their national teams so it was enlightening to see how our skills matched up. I also enjoyed the opportunity to be teammates again with several of our college competitors."

Ensbury led Princeton with more than 2.0 digs per set and helped the Tigers return to the EIVA postseason. Princeton defeated two ranked teams last season, and it played a memorable four-set match with eventual EIVA champion Penn State in front of more than 900 fans inside Dillon Gym.

"I was thrilled for Tony to have this opportunity over the summer," said head coach Sam Shweisky. "Now that he is an upperclassman, I believe he can be a terrific leader for our program, and this type of experience can end up benefiting all of Princeton Volleyball moving forward."
