Lehigh defeated the Princeton softball team 9-2 and 1-0 Wednesday afternoon at the Class of 1895 Field in the Tigers' final non-league twinbill of the season.

In the opener, Lehigh (25-14-1) got two home runs from Morgan Decker, who was 2 for 2 with five RBI and walks in her other two plate appearances. Decker's first home run was the game-changer, putting Lehigh up 4-1 in the third inning.

Though the Tigers (21-17) made it 4-2 in the fourth, a five-run seventh inning put the game away for Lehigh. Shanna Christian (7-5) took the loss for Princeton, giving up 10 hits and walking five while earning seven of the nine runs and striking out five. Emily Bausher (10-6) won for Lehigh, limiting Princeton to four hits and two walks Alex Peyton had two of Princeton's four hits, while Lizzy Pierce had the lone RBI on a solo home run in the second inning, her fifth of the season.

In the nightcap, Lehigh's Rebecca Bliss (14-6) threw a two-hitter, while Liza Kuhn (5-6) and Meredith Brown split the pitching duties for the Tigers.

The game's only run came with two outs in the third, when a fielding error at third base allowed Lehigh's Rosie Roessel, who reached on a one-out walk, to score.

A hit batter in the third inning, an Alex Peyton single in the fourth, a Danielle Allen double in the sixth, and a Kate Miller walk in the seventh represented Princeton's only base runners. Allen's leadoff double in the sixth was perhaps Princeton's best chance to score, but Allen was caught between third and home during the frame for the second out.

Kuhn and Brown combined to allow only four hits and two walks, with Brown taking over for Kuhn for the final three innings.

Princeton will resume Ivy League play Saturday and Sunday at '95 Field with a pair of 12:30 doubleheaders against Columbia. The weekend is pivotal for Princeton, which stands with Columbia and Cornell four games back of division leader Penn with eight games to play.
