Completing a six-match homestand with a perfect record, the Princeton men's tennis team beat St. John's 5-2 Saturday evening in Jadwin Gym, running its record to 9-3 on the season.

The six-match win streak is Princeton's longest since 2011, when it also won six. Princeton will head to California for a trio of matches during spring break, beginning Mar. 17.

"It was a good effort today," Princeton head coach Billy Pate said. "St. John's came at us hard and played inspired, as we knew they would. Their record is certainly not indicative of their talent as they've battled some injuries this year and have played a tough schedule. We knew it would be a challenging match for us without Matija (Pecotic), who is nursing a pulled muscle. It was good to get through with a win and we'll now transition to outdoor play this week in preparation for our trip to California."

Princeton pulled ahead and clinched by getting the doubles points and wins from Jonathan Carcione, Augie Bloom and Dan Richardson. Matt Siow got the last point with a tiebreak third-set win.
