2012: Team co-captain ... saw action in 28 games and started 26 ... tallied 17 goals, 39 steals, eight assists, four blocks and drew three ejections ... had two goals and two steals versus Cal Lutheran (9/7) ... scored twice, while adding a steal and drawing an ejection versus Bucknell (9/16) ... tallied three steals and two assists at Johns Hopkins (9/23) ... had a pair of goals and a steal at Bucknel (10/14) ... scored a goal and added a pair of steals versus George Washington (10/20) and Notre Dame College (11/2) ... notched career-high five steals along with an assist vs. Navy (11/14) ... made three steals and scored a goal versus Mercyhurst (11/18).
2011: Played in all 33 games as a junior and recorded career highs in goals, assists and steals. Tifft made 32 starts and scored 12 goals with a career-best three coming against Iona in the first-round of the Eastern Championships. Tifft also scored against 16th-ranked St. Francis at Easterns and had two goals in a win over Iona earlier in the season. Tifft added goals in wins over Harvard, Santa Clara and George Washington (twice) and losses to Loyola Marymount and Bucknell. Tifft contributed nine assists, all coming in seperate games, and added 29 steals, with a season's best four coming in a win over Fordham. Tifft also had seven blocks.
2010: Appeared in 27 games for the Tigers as a sophomore, making a pair of starts. Tifft scored seven goals and added six assists, 15 steals and four field blocks. Tifft scored two goals in a win over Iona and added single goals in a loss to Cal Baptist, and wins over Bucknell, Redlands and Johns Hopkins twice. Five of Tifft's six assists came in four-game span as he had two in a win over Iona and single ones against Navy, Bucknell and George Washington. His final assist came in the third-place game at Easterns, a win over Bucknell. Tifft added two multiple-steal games with two swipes each against MIT and St. Francis.
2009: Played in 27 games as a freshman and scored six goals. He also added five assists and 19 steals and led the team with five field blocks. Tifft scored his first goal in a win over Harvard and also had an assist in the win. Tifft added goals in a win over Navy and consecutive losses to USC and Stanford before notching a goal in the win over Redlands. His final goal came in Princeton's win over Loyola Marymount in the third-place game at the NCAA tournament.
Tifft played three years of varsity water polo at the The Bishop's School. There, Tifft was a member of a two-time CIF Division 2 Champion and won the CIF Sportsmanship Award in 2008. Tifft also played for San Diego Shores Water Polo Club and was a silver medalist at Junior Olympics in 2007 and 2008.
