Trio of Tigers Advance in Pursuit of Tour Cards
Kelly Shon is set to graduate next spring, and she was off on a job interview of sorts this week.
Shon advanced through the second stage of LPGA Q-school qualifying in Florida, posting a score of 69 in each of her final two rounds to move ahead of the cut line and gain a chance to play in the third and final stage in Florida in December. She was one of two Tigers who earned the right to return to the Sunshine State in two months, with former teammate Anna Jang '13 carding a final-round 68 Friday to ensure herself a bid.
Complete results from the Q-school stage can be found here.
Meanwhile, Evan Harmeling '12 is playing for a spot on the Web.com tour and moved one stage closer as well. Harmeling tied for 10th in his first-stage tournament in Florida, gaining a spot in one of the second-stage tournaments to be held in November.
Results from Harmeling's qualifying tournament can be found here.
The Princeton women's team will head to Texas for the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational Sunday through Tuesday, while some of Harmeling's former teammates will begin play Saturday in the two-day Temple Invitational outside Philadelphia.
