Freshman Lauren Miller recorded 34 assists and the middle combination of Nicole Kincade and Brittany Ptak combined to record 14 kills without an error in a 3-0 victory over UMass-Lowell during the Bryant Invitational. The Tigers dropped the nightcap 3-1 to Stony Brook and will now look forward towards their Ivy League season.

Princeton ended a two-match losing streak with the UMass-Lowell win, a 25-10, 25-19, 25-16 victory. It carried that momentum into a 25-13 victory in the opening set against Stony Brook, but the Seawolves battled back with wins of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-21.

Sophomore Kendall Peterkin led Princeton against UMass-Lowell with 13 kills, while both Kincade and junior Sarah Hanna had eight kills apiece. Senior Chelsea Parker and sophomore Sarah Daschbach both had 13 digs for the Tigers.

In the Stony Brook match, Kincade had nine kills without an error and hit .450 for the match. She was named to the all-tournament team in her first matches back from injury.

Peterkin had a team-best 18 kills, while Miller had 32 assists and 13 digs. Daschbach led all Tigers with 17 digs, while Hanna added six kills.

Princeton will now open its 2013 Ivy League season Friday night when it hosts Penn in a 7 pm showdown at Dillon Gym. Last season, the two teams split a pair of 3-2 thrillers, with the road team coming away with a 15-13 win in the fifth set.
