The Princeton wrestling team is looking to kick start the second half of its season Saturday afternoon when it travels to Lancaster, Pa., for a 2 pm showdown with the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats.

The Tigers, who were decimated by injuries during the first half of the season, will be looking for their first dual victory Saturday. Princeton is 0-8, with three losses coming against nationally ranked opponents, but it will wrestle seven times in February before traveling to Rutgers for the EIWA Championships.

Princeton has won four straight matches over the Diplomats, including a 24-12 win last season. Among the Princeton winners that day were Dan Santoro, who will compete at 197 Saturday, and both Seth Hazleton and Kyle Roddy, who are listed as potential starters at 157.

Princeton has already made one solid trip to Lancaster this season; on Jan. 5, five Princeton wrestlers placed at the Franklin & Marshall Open. Both Santoro and freshman Scott Gibbons took third at their respective weight classes. Gibbons leads Princeton with 17 wins this season, while senior co-captain Zach Bintliff is second on the team with 15 victories.

Franklin & Marshall is 6-4 on the season, though it is coming off a 30-10 loss to Bucknell. The Diplomats are led by 18th-ranked Richard Durso, who has 28 wins at 141, and freshman Andrew Murano, who has 22 wins at 149.

Following the match, Princeton will prepare for Alumni Weekend at Dillon Gym. The Tigers will host three matches, including Ivy League showdowns with Brown (10 am) and Harvard (2:30 pm) on Saturday.
